Anne McKenny holds an Honours Degree in Psychology, is a Registered Mental Health Nurse and was one of the first people in Northern Ireland to be trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She has practised for some 30 years.
On top of this she has lectured extensively at Universities and been involved in supervision and CBT training for medical students and practitioners throughout her career.
She is a member of BABCP and a European Accredited Consultant in EMDR with the EMDR All-Ireland Association. She was made a Florence Nightingale Scholar for research into the treatment of Eating Disorders in Europe and North America.
